The Power of Speaking Up
An extraordinary lunch with Sam Bouffler
Know your worth. Trust your instincts. Find your voice.
Have you ever stayed quiet when you knew you should speak up? Ignored your instincts? Allowed someone else to make decisions that should have been yours?
Most women have, whether in business, relationships or life.
But what happens when you find the courage to speak up?
Join The Success Collective for lunch with Sam Bouffler, whose experience of coercive control led to a landmark criminal case in New South Wales.
Sam's story is extraordinary, but the lessons reach far beyond her personal experience.
We'll talk about power, control, financial independence, the warning signs we sometimes overlook and the courage it takes to trust ourselves.
This is a conversation about knowing your worth, recognising when something isn't right and having the confidence to do something about it.
Our guest, Sam Bouffler
Earlier this year, Sam saw the man who controlled her held accountable through the criminal justice system. Her case became the first in New South Wales to result in a jail sentence for coercive control.
Rather than retreat from the spotlight, Sam decided to use her experience to help other women.
Today, more than 42,000 people follow her as "the voice for women who can't speak out". She also sits on the advisory board of Heard, a survivor-built app offering discreet support.
So what does her story have to do with business? More than you might think.
Power, control and financial independence are not issues confined to personal relationships. They can affect our business partnerships, our decisions, our confidence and our futures.
Sam will share her story and talk about recognising warning signs, trusting your judgement, setting boundaries and finding the courage to speak up, even when it's difficult.
Whether it's in business or in life, every woman deserves to have a voice and the confidence to use it.
Sam is flying down from Sydney to join us. Bring a friend, colleague or woman in your life who you think would benefit from hearing her story.
